In this episode, our animal totems present reports of encounters with a variety of entities. They take place at various locations; on a desolate road, at one’s home, and just outside a major city. Strangeness can arrive anywhere at any time.

The Boy at the Side of the Road

We begin with a black cat story. This account can be found in the Revised 2nd Edition of Black Eyed Children, authored by David Weatherly. Technically, this isn’t a black-eyed kid case but it still shares many details found in BEK reports. Such as a child appearing out of nowhere, demanding to be taken for a ride, and overall unsettling behavior.

You never know what you may come across at the side of a deserted road.

Ceremony 

Stories from the Messengers by Mike Clelland is a book containing reports regarding people’s experiences with owls and their relationship with the unknown.

These birds seem to herald otherworldly events and historically have been associated with magic and occulted knowledge. Are owls harbingers of some type? Are they used as screen images with the purpose of concealing the true nature of the experience.

The following story began when the witness had many close sightings of owls. This report is the perfect representation as to why the owl is the totem for unearthly occurrences on Blood Moon Podcast.

Mantis-Man

The black cat returns with an anecdote which is from an open lines segment on Coast to Coast AM. The caller claimed to have seen a humanoid creature that resembled a praying mantis.

Many people have reported having seen such beings usually onboard UFOs. This account is peculiar because this being was seen running around just outside a major city; And it was under the cloak of darkness.

I think we have to ask, how often do these being venture out into suburbia, so close to our cities and do we share this planet with other intelligent humanoids?

A listener going by the name, The Judge, has sent a black cat story. It’s a chilling account that takes us back to a summer night during his childhood.

Tyler Jones Abduction

Recently, U.S. congressman Tim Burchett made a surprising statement regarding his briefing on UFOs. He said, “if they would release the things that I’ve seen, you would stay up - you’d be up at night worrying about or thinking about this stuff.”

Could the things that the congressman was alluding to be about related aspects of the subject such as the abductions of people, the history of our planet or the horrific animal mutilations?

Mercy Brown

The black cat brings us a legend from Rhode Island. It is the tragic case of Mercy Brown and her family, ravaged by TB and ultimately gave rise to vampire hysteria.

The Blood Moon has risen. It is time to tell stories of the strange and sometimes terrifying.

Brian Bethel’s experience is often credited as the first report of Black Eyed Children or Black Eyed Kids. Since Bethel’s encounter in 1996 there have been many reports from individuals of children randomly appearing at their doorstep or at their car door pleading to be let inside. They seek an invitation much like what is described in vampire lore.

Black eyes seem to be a prevalent feature of many unknown creatures or beings. Gray aliens have large wrap around eyes as well as the Mantis-type aliens. Even some ghosts are described with having black eyes.

But when it comes to people having this peculiar characteristic, the fear strikes a little differently…because it is unnatural. Does it symbolize a loss of humanity? By demonic possession? By mixing the genetics of a human with a non-human? By not being able to fully manifest in our physical realm? Or something else entirely?

This episode brings to life a few accounts of people coming face to face with black eyed humans…or so we think they’re human.

In reality, there are sightings of what researchers in the fields of cryptozoology and paranormal call Dog-man. Now, what are these dog-men? Are they really the shapeshifting werewolf? Is it something supernatural or an undiscovered animal?

Or is it something that scientists conjured in a classified lab? Perhaps a human/wolf hybrid?

Whatever their origin may be, they have certainly become a popular topic in the realm of the unknown.

There have been many accounts from people claiming to have encountered a bizarre figure with an unsettling, never-ending smile. In the paranormal circles this entity is designated as The Grinning Man.

No one really knows, who or what the Grinning Man is. Its intentions are unknown. Is it just a human being? Or is it something else? Perhaps otherworldly? Is it benevolent, malevolent or indifferent?

Maybe there are multiple Grinning Men...from multiple sources.

The owl flies in with a story about one such entity that called itself Indrid Cold.

The Blood Moon has risen!

Unidentified Flying Objects come in many forms. One of the more mysterious, if not ominous UFOs are the ones often referred to as black triangles. Some people believe the triangles could be a classified military craft such as the TR3-B. Others are convinced they are the product of a non-human intelligence due to their extraordinary flight and camouflage characteristics. 

In episode 19, we told the account of a boy encountering one of these black triangles during his early morning paper rout. Now, the owl flies in with more accounts of these enigmatic UFOs. In this story, you will hear a reproduction of police radio transmissions as they chase the triangles across the state of Illinois.
